This non-bulbing fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is grown for its for its beautiful foliage, which matures from black to bronze and produces showy flowers. The anise/licorice flavored foliage can be used for cooking or teas, and so can the slightly immature seeds. Easy to grow with low fertility and water requirements.
