Starflower Scaboisa

Starflower Scabiosa (Lomelosia stellata), sometimes referred to as Pincushion Flower (although this more commonly refers to Scabiosa japonica), is an easy to grow self-reseeding annual that resists predation. The small, unassuming white blossoms yield spectacular bronze seed heads that are often used for cut flower arrangements. For flower production, harvest seeding heads slightly before the seeds are all the way dry - they won't fall off the flower head as easily. For seed savers - and this is an extremely easy seed to save! Just pull fully mature seeds off the flower head and that's it! No seed cleaning required.
